March Sketchout

Calling all artists. Join us as we celebrate our membership in the national Urban Sketchers chapter. We'll meet in the St Louis Art Supply cafe for a short demo on constructing and using an accordion journal. Then you are free to sketch indoors or out. There is plenty of metered parking in front of the store.

This month we are very fortunate to sit in on the Kirkwood Theatre Guild's dress rehearsal for the play, On Golden Pond. We will have the opportunity to sketch people and set designs. Please note that this rehearsal is in the evening, beginning at 8pm. Please plan to arrive by 7:45pm to ensure that we are not disruptive to the rehearsal. We will meet in the lobby before going in. So please be prompt.

You can paint with pens, pencils (graphite or colored), small watercolor palettes, and waterbrushes (no open water containers). You might want to bring a tiny reading light to clip onto your sketchbook, since it could be dark in the audience area where we will be seated.
